Vitamins are essential for our body .Not only to stay fit but also to stay healthy long life .There are different kinds of vitamins which are required for our body.Vitamins are useful for the cell growth, functions, and development.
There are 13 different kinds of vitamins.
These vitamins are mainly divided into two groups
They are:
Fat soluble
Water soluble
1.Fat soluble vitamins:
Fat soluble vitamins are vitamins A,D,E,K .
These are are stored in adipose tissue ,Hence these are called fat soluble .
Vitamin A
Vitamin A helps in eye vision,bone growth,reproduction,cell functions and immune system.
Generally, vitamin A comes from fruits ,milk etc…vitamin A rich in leafy vegetables.Vitamin A is an antioxidant.
Vitamin D
Vitamin D helps in calcium.
Calcium is one of the main building blocks of bones.
Vitamin D comes from egg yolks,milks etc…According to a research vitamin D comes from explore of sun-light.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E helps in wound healing,reduces skin itching,And also helps in skin and hair problems.
Vitamin E comes from nuts,seeds,vegetable oils,almonds etc…Vitamin E is also an antioxidant .
Vitamin K
Vitamin K plays a vital role in blood clotting,bone metabolism,and blood calcium levels.
Vitamin K comes from green leafy vegetables such as spinach,cabbage,kale,sprouts,mustard green etc…
2.Water soluble vitamins:
Vitamins C and B (b1,b2,b3,b6,b12).
Water soluble vitamins are soluble in water and pass through urine.Our body needs a daily diet of these vitamins.
Vitamin C
Vitamin C helps in blood pressure,prevents iron deficiency,boosts immunity.
Vitamin C also known as ascorbic acid.
Vitamin C comes from citrus fruits such as oranges,lemons etc…and also from potatoes,strawberries,etc…
Vitamin B
Vitamin B complex.These includes the following
Vitamin B1
Vitamin B1 also called as thiamine it is one of the B complex vitamins.
Vitamin B1 helps in the prevention of complications of nervous system,muscles,stomach,,and intestines.
Vitamin B1 comes from fresh fruits,nuts,whole-grains,liver etc…
Vitamin B2
Vitamin B2 also called as riboflavin.
Vitamin B2 helps in skin,eye and nervous system.
Vitamin B2 comes from milk,eggs,mushrooms etc…
Vitamin B3
Vitamin B3 also known as Niacin.
Vitamin B3 helps in nervous system,skin,release energy from food.
Vitamin B3 comes from meat,fish,eggs etc…
Vitamin B6
Vitamin B6 also called as pyridoxine.
Vitamin B6 helps in store proteins and carbohydrates,red blood cells.
Vitamin B6 comes from peanuts,soyabeans,oats,bananas etc…
Vitamin B12
Vitamin B12 helps in making red blood cells,hemoglobin,nervous system,and release energy.
Vitamin B12 comes from meat,fish,cheese,eggs etc…
These are the major vitamins which are necessary for our body for balanced and healthy diet.
